The BIG Snow

Robert and I take turns traveling to see each other on the weekends.  It's a lot of driving, but well worth it!  I recently got snowed-in in Bentonville.  It was nuts!  The weather dude called for 3-4 inches of snow.

3-4" my ass!  Try 19"!  How did they get it that wrong?

Needless to say, the Prius wasn't going anywhere when I woke up in the morning, so Henry, Fiona and I stayed to play.

It had been forever since I had seen a snow like this.  It was awesome!  Look at the size of that snow angel!

Henry LOVED the snow.

Caesar and Shishi tolerated the snow well, they're built for it, but they weren't as elated about it as Henry was.
Fiona, on the other hand, hated the snow.  She didn't want anything to do with it and she looked downright pissed off that she was outside in it.  My poor honey-girl needs a thicker coat!

Robert and I took the Subaru to McDonald's (that's MAC-Donalds, if you're super country) for breakfast, just to get out and drive around in it.  Let me tell you, that all-wheel-drive business is for real.  That Subaru handled like a snow plow with the snow coming up over the hood of the car as we tunneled through.

Later on we warmed up by the fire with some hot chocolate and vanilla vodka and were thankful for an extra day together.
