I mean, an eggplant is quite sizable! I can't believe how much our little girl has grown already. The app on my iPhone also says my uterus is the size of a soccer ball. Believe that, y'all! I totally look like I'm smuggling one up my shirt.
I have to figure out how to make eggplant parmesan with this thing. I've never bought one before, so now that I have it I better put it to good use!
Robert and I went to Little Rock this past weekend for our LR baby shower, which was thrown by four of my favorite lovely ladies, Kristen, Tammy, Alisa and Karissa. These girls really went above and beyond to make it a fantastic party.
Baby Girl Brown made out like a little bandit. She's got all kinds of cute new outfits, some bedding, lots of diapers and wipes, a huge awesome piggy bank, books, keepsakes, a swing, room decorations, etc. Robert and I are so amazed at the generosity and creativity we experienced!
Our friend Ricky took photos during the shower, so I'll post those to the blog as soon as I have them. It was really nice of him to do that for us. Ricky also brought Robert beer as his "man gift".
While I don't yet have shower pics, I do have a photo of the "Thank You" gifts that I made for the girls. I thought these turned out pretty cool:
I bought plain white mugs and painted them with a kind of ceramic paint for glazed ceramic, then baked them to set the paint.
I filled the mugs with biscottis and packaged them with coin purses that had each girls' initial on the front and a Starbucks gift card inside.
We really had a lot of fun seeing my friends (and my sweet mommy) in Little Rock. We had not been back there since I moved to Bentonville at the end of April last year. Some have visited us here, but many I hadn't seen in soooo long. I love the Bentonville area, but I sure do miss my friends! I wish I could pack them all up and bring them up here with me. I would if I could! :)
